Dance has been a life-long passion for me. I love the freedom of moving my body and expressing the innermost essence of my soul to different rhythms and beats. Add to this the beautiful shapes our bodies can create, the sense of achievement on completing a move or routine, and the companionship of class members … what is there not to love?
In my ‘younger’ days I trained in various forms of dance – primarily Ballet, Tap, Latin American, Ballroom and Old Time – but my true passion lies with Latin American, which I also competed in.
Then an injury stopped me pursuing a dance based career, and my dream fell apart … Fast forward 38 years (yep!) and here I am running SOSA Dance Fitness classes. If I can get back to optimum fitness after being told I would never dance again, then so can YOU.
